ASTM A790/ASME SA 790 UNS S32760 pipe

ASME SA790 UNS S32760 Pipes, Zeron® 100, which is also sold under the names Super Duplex Stainless and Super Duplex, is a highly alloyed stainless steel that is designed for use in difficult and aggressive environments, ASTM A790 UNS S32760 Seamless Pipes Manufacture.

Titanium Metals

Alloy Zeron 100/32760 Seamless Welded Pipes are made up of an alloy that has excellent resistance towards oxidation. The alloys comprise 7 percent nickel, 25 percent chromium, and 3.6 percent molybdenum. It also includes specific concentrations of zinc and tungsten in its chemical composition. These pipes consist of almost equal austenitic and ferric contents.

Duplex Steel Zeron 100 Seamless Welded Pipes have excellent resistance towards corrosion pitting and corrosion cracking. As it has a certain amount of molybdenum, chromium, along with tungsten in its alloy, it can act as a significant barrier against various organic acids. These also have nitrogen present in them, making them even more vital. These pipes are two times stronger than the stainless steel 300 pipes. There also is copper present in the alloy, which makes them resistant to sulfuric acid-bound environments. Therefore, these pipes are widely used in applications where problems related to sulfuric acids can occur. The other properties that these pipes have are weldability, durability, high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, etc.

Usage of this super duplex stainless steel is not recommended when it involves extended exposure to temperatures greater than 572° F. This exposure causes a substantial reduction in toughness. Notice the chemical composition of duplex 2507 and Zeron 100 are similar however; Zeron 100 contains slightly more copper and tungsten. The copper content (min. 0.5, max 1.0) permits excellent resistance to corrosion in many non-oxidizing and mineral acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid.


Alloy Zeron 100 pipes can be available in different shapes and sizes depending upon the need and requirements of the applications. These pipes are used in a large number of industries such as the chemical industry, the oil industry, paper, and pulp industries, sugar industries, etc. These are also used widely in marine and off the shore environments.
