Duplex 2304 contains 23% chrome, 4% nickel and molybdenum-free duplex stainless steel with a ferritic and austenitic balance of structure. It has general resistance to corrosion similar or better than 304L and 316L alloys, but yields almost twice that of austenitic stainless steel. Duplex 2304 can also demonstrate improved stress-corrosion resistant properties compared with 304 and 316 thanks to its duplex microstructure and low nickel and high chromium content.It is usually suitable for all the applications in the temperature range from -58 F to 572 F, and has been designed with high mechanical strength, good corrosion resistance, good machining resistance, low thermal expansion, high thermal strength, good thermal conductivity and manufacturing. It is ideal for all applications.Duplex 2304 plates are made from duplex stainless steel and are structured in a balance between ferritic and austenitic. It is highly resistant to stress corrosion, has high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion and easy manufacturing. This steel is not recommended in areas where the steel would be exposed for longer durations to temperatures above 1058 ° C (570 ° F).
